What is a Float Plan?
A Float Plan is a state-of-the-art lifesaving device that is utilized by search and rescue personnel to assist in reducing the search area in order to locate you in the shortest amount of time possible.
How can having a Float Plan help you?
Having a Float Plan prepared prior to going out in the water can save your life. During an emergency situation, there is a lot of information that has to be conveyed to officials and a Float Plan provides them with all the necessary details needed to make the appropriate decisions. By filing out its contents and sharing it with a either a family member, friend, neighbor, or someone else, search and rescue personnel can use the information provided to find you in the shortest amount of time possible.
